Huntington,WV (Jordan Zone) Cabell County Sheriff’s Department reports provided the following information:

A 33-year-old Huntington woman said two men abducted her Friday morning from a convenience store parking lot near Cabell Huntington Hospital and that one of them sexually assaulted her.

The woman said she had been visiting a friend at the hospital prior to the reported incident. She said she discovered one of the tires on her vehicle was flat, and she drove to the convenience store/gas station for help.
The woman said two men pulled up in a Pontiac Grand Am and offered assistance about 4:30 a.m. She said they also offered to let her sit inside their car to get warm. She said she did so with a door open and her feet on the parking lot. She said one of the men pushed her inside the car as the other got behind the wheel.

The woman told deputies she believes the men drove her to a residence on Green Valley Road. She said one of the men held her head down during the drive, and the men didn’t talk.

When the car reportedly stopped outside the residence, the woman said the men carried her inside. She said one left the room, saying he was going to bed, while the other reportedly took her to a bedroom and sexually assaulted her.

The woman said she eventually managed to get away by pretending she was asleep. She said she grabbed some clothing that wasn’t hers and ran outside through a wooded area. She said she ended up on a roadway, and a passer-by rescued her. The woman reported that the passer-by was a lawyer, who reportedly told her that he did not want to get involved. A Cabell County Emergency Medical Services crew ultimately took the woman to Cabell Huntington Hospital.

The victim, a 53-year-old Chesapeake, Ohio, man, also reported that 10 bundles of pressed lumber worth nearly $12,000 were stolen during the incident. Firefighters were notified of the "fully engulfed" vehicle about 10:40 p.m. Sunday.
